Mardi Gras Grand Parade will be held in the streets of Pointe à Pitre, the capital of Guadeloupe. This long awaited cultural event is the most important one of the year, and colours, dances and joy are all over the place prior to Lent, the period of the liturgical year from Ash Wednesday to Easter.
